Individuals decide to move for a variety of reasons, family, finances, new love, all kinds of reasons. Well here is our journey and maybe a little bit of why we decided to move, or should I say be mobile…
Exploring new places, crafts, foods and anything else we find along the way seems to be our motivation. We can analyze every decision we make or we can choose to enjoy the journey. Stumbling here and there we fall back to worrying if we can, should or just being too lazy but our goal is to kick ourselves back in gear…We can. Why not? Get up and just do it! So after “thinking” about RV living for 5+ years we finally made the decision to get up and just DO IT! Such a terrifying moment! Like a roller-coaster ride just slipped gears and we don’t know if its falling off the tracks!
Practical Hippy!? hmmm what it means for us…We believe there is no one right way and choose to accept others as they are with only one addendum…do not infringe on the rights of others…such a simple statement but so complex. maybe we will expand on that later!? Back to Practical Hippy! How do we mesh the 2 is not always easy but the idea is to take care of some basic needs the Practical side insists on while going with the flow of what life brings. Hoping to experience new things along the way. Until we decided to start this journey you could say we played it safe. Home, kids, pets, bills, work etc…to satisfy the Hippy we traveled and/or camped a lot!
In the back of our minds is the memory of traveling thru Alaska for 3 months in a conversion van. (Before kids) We both want to go with the flow again with some differences! No longer being in our young 30’s we decided a bed and bath going with us is “practical”.
So here we are selling our house, putting items in storage and buying an RV! True, there is so much more to it than that but there is not enough room here to list everything! We will talk about most of our to do as we go.
