House is Sold!

We survive (so far)!! The signing for the closing was Thursday (for us) and Friday (buyers). This house is officially no longer ours! Travis and I woke a little sad that morning. It seemed like a goodbye even though we are still here (21 more days)!

Angus got his driving permit the day before our signing, so Travis and I decided we had a chauffer to take us to the signing. Our son’s first time driving the family. Angus did rather well we thought but when we got there we had to pose in terror! He is taking our ribbing rather well.

On the way to the signing our friend Erin called. Jack’s mom was not doing well at all and he rushed down to Twin Falls to be with her. Erin and I (Christina) hit the road to go down about 3. Erin took Lily and Widdle with her. Anytime Erin left the car without them Lily whined pacing to all 4 windows and Widdle looked confused.

We got the news halfway to Twin Falls that Jack’s mom had passed. Erin and Jack decided to meet up at the hotel. After some dinner and big hugs I left them alone and headed over to my Dad’s house for the night.

The next morning (Friday) Jack picked up the trailer he bought for his mother (she never got to use) and parked it at Dad’s house until they decide what they are doing with it.

Travis called about that time wondering if I would be home in time to take Angus to work. He wanted to start installing the Blue Oxbow Hitch on the Jeep. (I’m sure he will post that process!)

I was home in time! The buyers had signed by this time, we were just waiting for confirmation. We got confirmation but it was sort of anti-climatic. Yes, we sold our house we spent the last 10 years in (lots of memories) but we are able to make more memories. Embrace life! It’s for living and honors those who came before paving the way for us. Love you, Jack! Don’t ever forget it!
