Emigrant Springs State Park

Since the new tie rod won’t be here till Monday we decided to go camping!

Years ago we had a big family reunion at emigrant springs state park just east of Pendleton, Oregon so we decided to check it out again.

We got the same spot as we did beck then! It is a handicapped accessible camping spot with water. It’s right across from the bathrooms/showers.

The plan is to relax for the next few days.  Of course puttering is always allowed!  (Chris tie dyed our cab curtains)

We were surrounded by trees, the weather was cooler but During the day, between 1-5 , we ran the generator to charge everything and run the AC. It was the only time it hit 90°.

We packed up and  left immigrant Springs by eight this morning so we could fuel up and get breakfast before going back to woodpecker truck.

After waiting around a few hours about 11:30 or so they came in to tell us the part that was sent to them was 4 inches too short! So our coach is up on the rack with no tie rod. Our old one cannot be put back on because it’s too bent now that they took it out and we will have to come back tomorrow hopefully the new correct size part will be there.
