We were parked in an RV park called the Hideaway. Not to shabby! This was our staging spot until closing (we thought) Friday September 3rd. August 26th we set up and headed over to Travis’ cousin Jenny’s house. Aunt Judy showed up with Sherry and her grandkids. It sure was nice reconnecting with family.
Angus started his new school McDonald High (I think he likes it?!) Aunt Judy and the rest came over for a BBQ. We have spent a bit of time over at Aunt Judy’s and Travis is going to see if he can get her old car running again (he sure likes working on cars!).
Nina, our realtor, met us out at the property and let us romp around for a couple hours checking things out. While seeing the work was a little daunting it sure excited us on what we could do.
Travis ate CATFISH!! and liked it!! For those who do not know….he spent years not touching fish of any kind. A local place called The Redneck cafe has a catfish all-you-can-eat buffet. We all liked the food!!
Long story short we signed another extension on our closing for 9/8…major eye-roll…so we had to change parks. The Hideaway was booked and we could not extend our stay. At the time it seemed sad but this new park, Blue Sky, while more crowded, is sure giving us a lot of contacts for services (help) that we will need for the new place.
