Of course everything takes longer then predicted! Breathe, Christina, Breathe! Oh so many times Travis has told me that in the last few weeks! Getting something done on time is very much a “thing” with me, so doing what we can in the time frame we have is definitely a growing experience for me. Long story short, we got most of the suggested list done. Not all of it was done to professional levels, of course, but we did get it done. Falling into bed every night slathered in Deep Blue (Doterra) just to wake up and repeat is definitely something we have not done since our 30’s. For 3 weeks straight! Every wall in the house but the focus wall in the master was painted a color called “agreeable grey“. (Neutralizing our eclectic colors!) The exterior was painted Vanilla Steam with Gallery Grey on the brick and Ultra White trim. Trim work and transitions in the hallway (and other locations). Install new kitchen faucet, replace toilet seat, replace all outlets and covers and install closet doors are just some of the extras on the list.
In-between all the upgrades we were doing to the house, we went thru and packed/donated/tossed about 80% of our stuff. We purchased a storage unit not too far away for the stuff we wanted to keep. Christina (the realtor) sent a stager over to the house who picked out a few of our items that passed muster for a showing that we left in the house.
Windows were professionally done by “magic” Pete! A very straight forward hard-working man who made windows that should have been replaced look almost new again. Carpets were cleaned, again by a very straight forward hard-working man from Super Shine.
Everything is in place so all we need to do is pack up the camping gear and leave! We do not want to be around for the open houses this weekend!
