Time to tell everyone what we decided to do. Of course we started with Jack and Erin. We needed to know if they had the inclination and time to help us make some improvements to the house before selling or just sell as is. Such good friends! They decided to help us with improvements so we could get a better sale price while sad that we were not going to be less than 2 miles away anymore.
Next we reached out to family members, including dads, moms, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters. All were very understanding and even excited we were “finally” choosing the RV life. Seems we have talked about doing so long enough. Now we need to put up or shut up! Let the train ride begin.
Even though most of our family is not local most are within a 2-hour drive and we are very used to visiting regularly. Our “other” family, friends we have known for years and some special new ones, is now in the need to know.
In some ways telling this special group of friends (family) is the hardest. There are so many of them! And they are all just 5 minutes away. BBQs, game nights, sewing, paint nights, camping and road trips are just some highlights of what we have shared over the years with these special people. How do you let them know how much they mean to you? Maybe we will do a post about each of them?! You never know!
In case we do not post about them individually (they may not want there information on this site), a quick list of names: Jack and Erin, Leann, Annalisa, Matt, Stacey, Janet and Bruce, Deborah and Evelyn. There are more names to add but they are not only 5 Minutes away so we will stick with the theme for now. Please know you are not forgotten if your name is not on the list, you just live more than 5 minutes away. We will not forget you!
